A trauma informed approach to movement

Hi, I’m Kiersten (they/them)

  • I’m a Queer, trauma informed personal trainer and massage therapist located in Northeast Minneapolis.

  • I believe that intentional movement can offer a pathway to healing from trauma.

  • I believe we need more compassionate, person-centered movement spaces (especially for those most marginalized in gym settings).

  • I am anti-diet culture, anti-hustle culture and HAES aligned.

  • I want to help you feel empowered in the gym and beyond.

  • I have a basset hound (soon to be therapy dog) named Pierogi that occasionally attends our sessions.

Is trauma informed training for me?

A trauma informed approach to movement can be for everyone! We all carry things around in our bodies and movement is a wonderful way to release that stored energy, show kindness to our bodies and regulate our nervous system.

Through an embodied approach to movement, those of us doing this work aim to foster resilience and increase a felt sense of agency and empowerment.

“You can trust Kiersten to support you with positivity, encouragement, and a light hearted attitude - no toxic gym vibes!”
